67th MIDTERM RENTAL

A serene space that feels like home, however long you’re here.

A Peaceful Place to Land

Our goal was to create a calm, clutter-free experience for renters in a period of transition — all while maximizing the ROI for our homeowner!

To this end, we focused our budget in a few key areas: enhancing functional spaces, upgrading essential appliances, and implementing elegant finishes that ensure long-term appeal and value.

The kitchen received the bulk of our attention: we ripped it down to the studs in order to deliver a much-needed update. The result is a more practical layout that feels lighter, brighter, and more inviting. The fireplace also received a contemporary treatment, with floor-to-ceiling tile in a soft tone that complements the gentle color palette used throughout the home.

Finally, we furnished the rental so it would feel welcoming, while leaving room for the occupant to bring in their own belongings. The space is styled with vintage finds and paintings by local artist Catherine Freshley. The result is a stylish home that feels peaceful and of-the-place. It was rented immediately upon completion, and has been occupied ever since.

OLIVIA RUSH, HOMEOWNER

“Working with Rachel to remodel my 50s ranch was such a positive, empowering, and surprisingly intimate experience. Rachel helped me take my many jumbled ideas and helped me weave them together into an actual vision. I found it refreshing that she started from a place of inquiry - she started with how I wanted to feel in the space, which led to so many other questions vs. simply telling me her thoughts or recommendations. Her availability, communication, and willingness to troubleshoot with me so many times was truly above and beyond. I'm so in love with my space, and  I cannot recommend Rachel highly enough!”
